my dad just put a warn 2.5 winch on his foreman es and was wondering if it will void our warranty. the foreman also has the extended 4 year warranty if that makes any difference

 

Check your warranty contract. Some of them void the warranty if any service or part install is done by anyone other than an authorized service representative.

 

I also installed a winch and skid plates, floorboards and performance kit on my foreman. According to my dealer when asked the same question about voiding warranty, they told me only if the accessory can be tied into a particular problem or failure with the vehicle. Otherwise it does not void the warranty. After all,, look how many dealers offer an winch for 50 bucks or so if you buy a new atv from them..Dont worry about that. My dealer even installed a bigfoot kit on mine before i picked it up. That supposidly can put extra stress on the drivetrain..IF the dealer sells it and installs these types of accessories, it would take a sorry dealer not to stand behind your machines warranty.

 

You really shouldn't have a problem. Some of the biggest things that will void a warranty are modifying the engine, exhaust, carb, big tires, etc.
As said earlier though, check your paperwork to be sure.
