I've noticed that sometimes when I take the top of the carb off, there will be little beads of water sitting on the slide. Is this just condensation? Or....

You don't say if you have just been riding where water could have splashed up on your engine, but yes, some condensation in the carb is possible. The venturi has a cooling effect on the air & moisture will condense. I'm not sure if it would be on top of the slide or not, though. I did have a carb that was getting a little water leak by the cable on the cap. A little RTV & tape on the fitting sealed it up nicely. Mine would miss a little when you hit a water puddle or stream. Hope this info helps.
