I recently bought a used 2000 Recon for $1800. It was pretty beat up. After installing $400 worth of parts to get it looking nice again, I still have one problem. The front brakes don't have near the stopping power that my other 2000 Recon has that I bought new. I bled the brakes just like you do on a car and I also adjusted the brake shoes. Is there a special way to bleed motorcyle brakes?

me too, I have a 00 and one day the front brakes became mushy. I've blead them and adjusted them and while they are better they still don't are mushy.

My thought is to replace the master cylinder, but I'd like to hear from someone who knows alot about motorcycles to make sure that's the right thing to do.
