Gore and the Clintonistas have introduced a bill (HR 701 or known as CARA) as a rider on an appropriations bill to authorizes the states $450 million A YEAR FOR 15 YEARS to buy private property! $450 million to buy land instead of take care of the people and schools. Under this bill, the government can "condemn" or force any individual to give up their land and pay peanuts for it.

Checkout the following link:

http://www.stewardsoftherange.org/fatal_flaws.htm

This link has the issues surrounding HR 701. I dare anyone to read this and truthfully say Clinton/Gore is not trying to take our land. The United States Government already owns 30% of the land within the United States territory and this push will definitely up the ante.

The way a legal document works is that if it does not specifically disallow an action, that action can be pursued. The act of taking or condemning land is fully provisioned within this bill. The Government can take your land without your permission and give no reason for it. The Government holds the eminent domain hole card. This is a clause that allows the federal government the right to take over any private property in the name of national security.

Cara re-maps states and their localities to take more and more land out of use and along with potential resources, removes vital tax revenues.
· HR 701/S 25 provides no guaranteed compensation to replace them. States and local communities would suffer shrinking tax bases at the same time CARA is demanding they commit matching funds to support more acquisition and maintenance.
· Declining revenues would squeeze out spending on education, crime prevention, and vital services. · Downscaling community services would deteriorate the quality of life and lead to depopulation.
· Remaining property owners would bear escalating taxes in order to ward off general decline.
The bottom line is....In the end, We will pay more taxes if less land can be held by private individuals. Tell everybody you know to speak out against this bill. Vote for Bush this November.

Thanks, Rachel, for disclosing the true intent of ClintonGore. Even the Washington Post, one of the universe's most liberal papers and a stalwart cheerleader for Clinton, published a front page article a couple of weeks ago that Clinton, desperate for a legacy (other than the one he "earned" and certainly deserves), is appropriating Federal lands as "National Monuments," "Roadless Areas," etc., and the executive agencies, like the Forest Service, are feeling his lash to HURRY UP! and implement his unilateral (without discussion or debate by Congress or anyone) executive orders before he leaves office, so, in the eighth and last year of Clinton's reign, he can leave a legacy as, "The Environmental President."

Environmental President, indeed. Interesting to note: not one square inch of additional territory has been designated as Wilderness Area legally (following the law as stated in the Wilderness Act) in Clinton's entire presidency. One must wonder how much Clinton actually cares about the environment, except in cynical, self-serving, political rhetoric.

And, as Al Gore said on the eve of Clinton's impeachment, "Clinton's one of the greatest Presidents America has known." Thus, we know what we can expect from Gore, the "tobacco farmer from the Fairfax Hotel, Massachusetts Avenue, Washington, DC," if he's elected. Surely, he'll find "no controlling legal authority" to stop his land-grab then, any more than he did in his dialing for dollars from the White House or accepting thousand-dollar-checks from impoverished Buddhist nuns.

Ironically, if Al Gore hadn't invented the Internet, we wouldn't be able to discuss him here!

Hey cartman308: When "they get all the land grabbed & closed" up you will not need your guns, I mean we won't need our guns or ATV's. I agree with your vote, hope there are more that will throw in with us!!!!

Oh man, you guys just had to get it going with this garbage. I can not believe all the stinking cow dung that is going on with the Clinton to the Gore bullshevik. I don't see where these idiots are coming from. Did you see Gore recently overtook Bush by something like 15 points a few days ago in the polls? Come on guys, lets get it together and stand as a whole to eliminate even the slightest chance of this guy getting into office.

I'm sorry, trying desperately to keep a civil tongue here. Can anybody say 2nd amendment? How about NRA??? If you're not already a member, sign up now! The second amendment was put into the constitution to protect us (i.e. "we the people") from our very own government! Yet it is that same government that is trying so desperately to take away our guns. Do they even once look at the real facts? What about that million mom march garbage that took place here recently? What was originally organized, or supposed to be for an election turned out to be nothing more than an all out march against guns.

Do these people have any idea of the real facts at hand? Why in the hell would you want to take guns away from the honest people and put them in the hands of the criminals? Essentially, that is just what they are doing. Take a look at the state of Texas for instance. They didn't have the right to carry a concealled pistol. Yet, now that the law passed, and Texas is a concealled carry state-thank god-crime rates have dropped substantially. Rape, armed robbery and assault have all dropped at least 8% since the passing of the concealled carry law was put into effect. Now people, what does that tell you? If nothing else, it screams out that the criminals are far less likely to committ a crime against someone they know very well may have a gun on them. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out. I mean, come on guys, let's go rob that guy or beat him up! Yeah, sure, lets do it! Oh, wait a minute, he could have a concealled pistol on him-maybe we shouldn't after all. I may be man enough to knock the hell out of a guy if the need should arrise, but I know for damned strait I'm sure as hell not man enough to take that knocking from Mr. Smith & Wesson model 629 classic! (.44 mag for those of you not familiar with S&W)

Need another one? OK, wild guess this time. Which state/city do you think has the highest crime rate ever? Final answer? Yup, you guessed it, Washington DC! And just why would that be? Guess what! They're not allowed to carry guns, or even have guns within city limits-go figure. Gee, why would that be. Well einstein, it's prime pickins for the criminally established. Think about it for a second. No guns = no defense. Gee, that pretty much means that a bad guy can do whatever he wants to do and not have to worry about anything because the people can't protect themselves. Go figure.

Guns are just one thing. Then, since you mentioned the land closure deals, oh man I'm telling ya! I'm sorry, don't get me started. I had better shut up now before I give myself a heart attack. Just imagine it-everybody likes arguing about which quad is better, or who's is faster, etc., etc. Well, should Gore get elected, you'll all be arguing about who's quad USED to be the best, while sitting around admiring it in your GARAGE!

Sorry, you kind of touched a nerve with this one. Guys, it comes down to this: If you really trully love your country and your own rights, your guns and your quads, come November 7th, take a stand and vote. This election could very well be the biggest, most influential, with the greatest risk ever. We have more to loose now than we ever have before. Whatever you do, vote against Al Gore!

Time for some advil and a nap.

Mike

I read this morining that Gore has taken the lead in the polls from Bush. I love that people in these huge cities who NEVER venture out to the woods want to restrict us from there use. They could care less, they have been brain washed by the media into thinking quads, motorcycles, snowmobiles, are all bad.

I have a friend who lives in Georgia & she is voting for Gore, I tried to explain the enviroment issue, but she didn't care. She is typical voter, never uses the outdoors she doesn't like to sweat, but she does like to shop.

IF Gore wins then Yamaha, Polaris, Honda, Arctic Cat, Suzuki, & others don't go screaming when your profits go to zero & you can't give away your products. Corporate america had a chance to step in & help but they didn't.

I was thinking very seriously about getting a snowmobile, however after attending two different club meetings my mind was changed. They are fighting the same battles. I can't justify spending the money for a toy that I might enjoy for a couple of years. The reason is the riding areas up are owned by the federal government.

Rachel

If you haven't noticed by the number of campaign stops in Ohio, We are living in a key swing state for this election. There is a lot of die hard democrats that vote for a democrat, no matter who they run. The key to defeating Gore is to get as many middle of the road voters as you can to vote for Bush. Otherwise, the Wayne National Forest riding area will be no longer!!!!
