you can use two thumb tacks to check it with. place a thumb tack in one of the lugs in front of each front tire straight across from each other..Take a tape measure and see how far it is from the tack in one tire to the other one. Roll the machine backwards until the tacks are now at the back of the wheels and measure again. Now you can see how much toe-in or toe-out you have.. If its wider on the front it is toed out. If its wider in the rear of the tires , of course that is toed in.

Thanks for the info. I set my 400 AT to 1/2" toe out. Feels a lot better. Felt like I had the anchor out before when driving pavement. Tires should last longer. I would consider going to 0", but it is good for now.
Didn't have thumb tacks, I used short wood screws. Did the roll back method. I used the string method just for insuring handlebar alignment with tires.
