PEP vs. ELKA vs. OHLINS
I just took the WORKS shocks off my 2000 400ex. The guy that originally had the quad put these shocks on the quad, but I personally don't like WORKS. Out of PEP, ELKA, and OHLINS, which are the best shocks and which will last the longest. I have +2 Laegar A-arms on the front and stock swingarm in the rear. The rear shock is stock but is it necessary to put a perf. shock on it? Let me know what all of you think. Thanks. I am also going to put a White Bros. E-Series Exhaust or LRD Pro Series Racing Exhaust on it, as well as an AC Racing Front Bumper, AC Pro-Peg Nerf Bars, FMF Jet-Kit, and a K and N filter. I also forgot to add that I have a Durable 2+2 Axle on it as well.

PEP vs. ELKA vs. OHLINS
Ive got 2 Cannondales . Both long travel . 1 set up with elka ZPS quadruples in the front and double rates rear. The other with ohlins double rates front ,single rate rear. Quality on both is superb. The elkas ride better but seem to have a lower range of adjustabilty. I have noticed the valving starting to go on one my right front elka as it bottoms out on jumps. Both brand shocks leak a little around the shaft seals if they sit for a month or 2 . My rear Elka also causes my rear caliper to hit the bottom of my fuel tank on full compression landings.
For trail riding the elkas are my first choice because of the ride but for duning and mx I would say the Ohlins perform better. Thats just my observation in the last year.
