Can a full front brake system off of a 400ex be installed on a 250r without major mods or problems? Is there any benefit to this swap?
Otherwise I am looking for a front master cylinder for the R if anybody has one in working condition that they would sell...

 

Whats the problem with your master cyl? Honda still carries a rebuild kit, easy fix, about 30.00.

Use a 400ex master(ebay $50-60) with 88-89 twin piston 250r calipers. 400ex master pumps more fluid and 250r calipers have greater friction area. This is the setup Baldwin motorsports recomended to my buddy and he has awsome front brakes now. Baldwin also makes bracket kit to put the 250r calipers on 400ex for $130

 

Well my bike is a 250r so I have the front calipers. I havent had them together yet so I hope they work well. I ordered new braided brake lines yesterday, front and rear. So all I need is a good 400ex master cylinder?
Also, does anybody sell a rebuild kit for a rear master cyl or should I just get the parts from Honda? Its been in a box and looks pretty dried up and crusty...I have the reservoir and it looks like a 250r part but the plastic piece that bolts to the cylinder doesnt line up. Easy fix I guess, just find that plastic piece...Thanks for the help...

 

2 stroke freak where abouse on the east side ? great looking r picked one up like that last year 400ex brakes are lighter i heard thats why most are going to them
