yeah, if you really needed all that crap, honda woulda put it on their quads. you dont need a front diff locker or adjustible suspension or override. and yes they do have disc brakes on their 2005 models now, so ha!!! it doesnt matter what all the other companies do to their quads, they will never be as good as a honda.....period.

I'll tell you what I NEED!
I NEED not to pay MORE for a product a receive LESS of it..Thats all you get when you buy a Honda.
My Rincon was no where as good in a serious up hill climb as my buddies with front lockers and a real engine.My buddies 660 Grizz would walk CIRCLES around my Rincon.Once we tried a very long,steep,and SANDY hill climb with our ATVs.He was on his 660 Grizz,I was on my reliable Rincon.Both of us made this hill climb in 4x4,BUT,than we both went to 2x4 and my Rincon's engine did not make enough ''wheel speed'' power to bring me up this same hill that the Grizz just blew right by me and went to the top.
And dont sell ME this reliability BS about a Honda either.I owned mine for two yrs and it had its problems too.Overheated,Defective CDI box,the tranny grinded going into drive[bad drive sleeve]and the front drum style brakes leaked like HELL.

I like the torque sensing diff crap.I have a pic where my buddy is on a NEW rancher trying to come up a hill and one frt wheel is spinning like hell and the other is planted firmly on rock....locker needed?? yes.....diff working???NO

why so big, they are just gunna be bigger and bigger and more expensive, theres no reason, what will a 900 go through compared to a 600 with diff lock and all that stuff. if my recon takes me around upstate just fine, theres nowhere i can imagine that demands these monsterous machines.

I agree with the size thing.I can never imagine needing more power than my 650 Prairie has.It is nice to have the power if you have large wheels and mud bog plus it will do 67 mph which I have yet to do on the trails.I am getting more into features like EFI .I thought I wanted IRS but the more I ride them the more I am not sure.
Then again a 6 cyl pick up will (do the job) But...............I would rather have a v-8......and a Cavalier will get me where I am going but a vette would be more fun.....
