05 Rancher carb question?

Default 05 Rancher carb question?

To lean out the carb a little do I turn the pilot screw in or out?

Default 05 Rancher carb question?

The pilot screw only affects the idle circuit and barely off idle. After that the jets inside the bowl take over. Now you can remove the top cover and drop the needle a notch or two by raising the clip on the metering rod needle. Easy to get to under the seat. I believe the pilot adjusting screw leans as you back it out. Best to turn it out a half turn and back in a half turn or so till it stalls a little and find the smoothest point. Then you should be right.
