Looking for the best tire for my Recon that won't tear up my Dads lawn...but will get me through the mud.

 

ALL mud tires will tear up grass. i would go with gators.

 

you can get the gators in the stock recon tire size or you can go bigger. i think i saw the stock size in a dennis kirk catalog

 

The Goodyear Tracker HP is a good choice for the Recon.

 

Mud Lites!!!!!!!!!!!! They come in stock size.

a buddy of mine had Dirt Devils on his recon they are about the same as the mud lites. get Titan 589MT's i think they're called if they still make them, my friend's stepdad has them on the back of his 2wd Rancher and they go really good.

 

i saw the sweetest all black wolvy on 27" 589s and it had a 4 inch lift kit- it was bada$$

 

yeah a girl that i used to ride quads with had 589's on her all Black Wolverine, but you got to think also that the Wolvy is a 350 and it has the power to move those big tires compared to the little Recon, yeah it would look sweet on it, but you'd have to do some mods to keep the power, unless you ran little 22" 589's on it, but it's not worth paying all that money unless you're going through swamps or ponds, myself i'd go with Mud Lites, BearClaws, ITP Blackwaters. Blackwater's been around for some time now and they have the reputation too after lots of people ran them in the Blackwater 100.
