it leaks out the back of the oval part, on the bottom. not where the pipe mounts to the silencer, but on the totally rear end of the silencer on the bottom. I noticed this after i washed it and saw water spraying out of it. Then i felt it and there was air.

IS this normal? should i send it back?

Is it easy to fix??? Help would be appreciated, thx

I think you're gonna have to explain your problem a little better... You are saying there is AIR coming out of the back of the muffler? Well, the exhaust is supposed to come out the back end, through the disks, but I'm guessing that's not what you are talking about...

air coming out of the opposite side of the discks, but it's not where the pipe welds to the OVAL silencer. It a little below that.

I'm not sure about the location that you're refering to, could it be a bad weld on the lower mounting bracket (not the aluminum bracket on the oval can). The lower bracket on my e-series silencer cracked loose after only a couple months of riding. I returned it to White Bros. where they replaced the entire inlet section under warranty.

Sounds like it's leaking at the seam in the rear of the outside cylinder...no big deal. Think of it as an extra disc! Unless its really causing you a problem, ignore it or drill out the rivits and seal it with hi-temp rtv.

i didn't want to mess around with the rivits, so i just sealed the outside ring around the oval cylinder with some rtv. It dosen't look horrible, but i don't want to send it back, i just want to ride!

later thanks alot
