Default questions plz help :)

i got EX300 and i got two questions:
1. its normal thats its hard to find the neutral ?. it goes back to 2th drive...sometimes it goes smooth but sometimes its take time...?
2. what mods can i put in ? i want more power without effecting the speed (i dont care for more speed just dont want it slower) and in what prices?
and some details about the mods the good and the bad sides of them

thankx

First, welcome to the forums. I would like to recommend the search feature to you. Your shifting problem seems soemwhat normal. Most bikes I've ridden have a hard time shifting into nuetral while running. It shouldn't be impossible though. As for mods, click on the search link I posted and type in "300EX mods" or "300EX performance", you'll get a lot of info that has already been discussed

Well, if you suck in water, than your motor could be destroyed, so yes it could be bad. I would look on Ebay for a new airbox.

I assume you mean by "air filter case" that you are referring to the airbox, where your air filter sits in? Or just the lid to the box? As for first mods, you've already done what I woudl do, but if you ride in wet conditions, a Uni filter is not the best idea.

Oh, just the lid, I see. You should be ok to run without it in the mud, just don't get too wet! A free flowing exhaust is the easiest way to gain more horsepower from the engine. They have no adverse effects as long as you rejet the carbuerator. A good exhaust system and air filter set-up is a must for any modified engine, just amke sure the exhaust you get is not extremely loud. Good luck.
