I have to agree with spoRtRax450R, a friend of mine just purchased one and we were dead even every time we raced and his was bone stock. He weighs 180lbs and I weigh 250lbs, To me the 450r is a smoother ride than the Predator and a lot lighter.

Hey 700!
I have the Predator and have ridden the 450R (and the 450).
The 450R is faster in the dunes (stock), not much. But the Predator has better handling and comfort, so I do better on it (faster for me) on 1-2 hour sand dune rides.
The YFZ450 is even quicker(again stock), but not as comfortable as the Predator nor as the Honda.
450R has done well in the endurance runs, and seems to have better reliability than most other quads. This is typical of Honda quads. Honda counterbalances their engines, therefore less vibration. That equates to a smoother ride and longer lasting components. I don't own a 450R simply because I don't want to kick start it. I don't own a YFZ450 because it has too much engine vibration.
Honest feedback, but JMO!
