300ex wiring woes
#1
Well, after cursing and giving up hope for a few weeks(and i swore off the sport) i went out and started tinkering with my 300ex, Really i went for a walk down the railroad tracks and seen a guy ripping up on a 400ex. It inspired me! Nothing more inspiring than a brand new 2001 Yellow 400ex!
I kicked the flat tires a couple times..hit the starter button and the starter worked. I stood there shocked. And i took out the plug checked for spark. And by god it was sparking. I cleaned it up, and it fired right up. I let it warm up took it around the yard for about 15 minutes.
I tried hitting the wiring to check for a short, nothing. It won't cut out. I rode it for 2 hours and it ran great the whole time, didn't miss a beat.
What is going on! There has to be something i'm missing, can someone help me out?

I don't understand why it just started after sitting for awhile.
the 2 back tires i've tore up pretty bad.
They are holeshots with about 15 hours on them, to say the least they are pretty much gone.
Its still running, i took it down to the end of my yard last night and smacked the wires against the frame, in the dark, to see if i could see a spark. Nothing at all. Still runs great. I don't know whats going on with it..I'm going to ride it more tonight and see how it acts.

The 300EX we had would not run well sometimes. Finally figured out the electrical on it. If you see any shorts, repair them. Next, all connections, open them up and get them really clean. Once you do that and have your battery charged, she oughta run well.
Try some slime in your tires. Works well for me.
