anyone know the top speed of a stock 99' mojave and a 00' grizz?

 

The 98 mojave I owned did a steady 55 mph (54.9 mph to be exact), clocked on a garmin gps III plus. I know the factory rev limiter will not allow it to go much faster downhill (maybe 56 mph). Enjoy the replies posted after mine, many will claim speeds well beyond common logic - given a stock machine (i.e., no modifications made to gearing, tire size, and/or limiter replacement). If you see the words "friend's pickup", "cop's radar", or my favorite - "I don't care what you say", the best thing to do is skip over the post; this is where you'll discover the aforementioned claims.

P.S. my 400ex does a good 75, I know cause I have a pet cheetah that...

Yeah ogre, you are right on the money. And if a stock Mojave does 65 then i must be doing 75 or 80 on my 400ex. NOT

 

forwards or backwards?

 

A stock 250R will go faster in 5th gear than a Mojave can wide open.

 

Funny how everything goes faster when clocked by a buddy in a pick-up truck? The 55 mph thing sounds real good. I have seen a few heavily modded mojaves that really motor though. I hear they respond well to a pipe, air filter, and modified rev box.
