After 1995 when it was introduced, the Foreman 400 underwent changes (speedo added, breather relocated etc.). Since I'm planning to buy a use one this spring, I'd like to know what year they stopped making changes, and the bugs were worked out. I'm thinking '98 or '99. Anyone have any info on this? Also, to any owners, is this a good machine since I'm planning on keeping it for the long term.

The foreman is a great reliable bike and we put some abuse to ours (98, 450 foreman). we got about 2 ft. of snow 2 yrs ago and we would hit the snow (plowing it) at about 20mph and it plowed right through it. it has been put through he$$ and it still runs great.

I don't know, but I don't think Honda sold very many after they came out with the 450, although they kept the 400 Foreman in the line-up for several years after. As a result, I don't see many come in the shop.
