fuel filter

Is there a fuel filter on 2003 rancher, and where is it located if there is?

there isn't one, there is a strainer in the tank, at the petcock, i added one to mine though

Thanks, i didnt really know if there was or not it does not want to stay running is the problem i am having, there may be some trash in the carb or something.
