electrical question

Default electrical question

on my quad i got some lights and it says to talk the power cord and hook it up to 15 amp so what does that mean does that mean to hook it to the battery or what i am not good on electrical

It means you want to install a 15 amp inline fuse between the lights and power supply. That way if the lights draw to much current it will blow the fuse and not mess anything else up electrically.

how do i get a 15 amp inline fuse the quad i talking about is a 250ex

Radio shack has them too.

You may be taxing the electrical on that quad...15 amps by 12 volts is 180 watts. The lights may be dim, until you rev it up.
