took my 300ex out on the lake (which is slushy right now) and it doesnt go very fast and when i give it full throttle it starts to die and loses speed and power. Is this a problem i should be worried about or is it just normal?

well this is the first time ive taken it out since last fall and it was fine then but i guess ill have to try it out again tommorow

 

get a new spark plug maybe.

 

Is the gas fresh? The new blended environmentally friendly Gasolines can go stale quickly.

 

if it loses power at the top end try cleaning out the carb and jets .. mine did that to me a while ago.. its amazing what a little piece of dirt or grime can do to your bikes performance
