dude your so full of it. there is no way the predator and the z400 beat the yfz in a shootout. if they did it would have been because of the reverse and the the 450r wouldnt have won. we own a pred and 2 z400s and i would trade any of them for a 450r or yfz450.

lets usay ur not full of crap and this is true. why r we readin that magazine? we sould be b!tch!in about that magazine and not dirt wheels. it sounds like to me if they say the z400 and predator is a better quad then their full of crap not you. sorry i didnt mean for it to sound that way either. i love both of those bikes. one is not better the the other, but their both better then a z400 or a predator.

This shootout was a bit more balanced than most of the sport quad shootouts you see. This one was based on durability, comfort, handling and power. Because this was a 12 hour test everyone dogged the YFZ because they tired more quickly on it. This was due to the harsh shocks, hard seat, rider position and stiff thumb throttle. The YFZ also had more breakdowns than the others. They admitted if it was a shorter test where durability and comfort were less of a factor the outcome would have been different.

I hope you mean the 450's are better at MX and that is it. In a variety of conditions there is no clear "better" one as you say. I almost bought a 450 last year, but I didn't because I thought the Z was "better" for a mixture of riding such as trails, MX, etc.

And like khen says, this is a test of more than MX, it has a variety of conditions.

hey khen i do like your 400ex (416ex) i know that 426 is a mild big bore. could you tell much difference as far as power? if so how much difference? also man how much didi those shocks cost you? i really need to work on mine so i can stomp my cuzzins and my dads z400s. i can already beat my cuzzin real bad because his bike aint jetted rigth but he wont listen to me. and he weighs in at almost 310 pounds! but hey just lookin for my next up grades. i like the elkas. but i also want to look into the other shocks. On the bigbore, i wont somthing to stay together but i also wont more power! I like the trinity 465 but i dont think that would stay together to good. so thats why i was askin about ur 416. ive been really thinkin hard on the 440 though.
