What is wrong with this magazine??? After buying my 450r last week and the more I ride the thing the more i wonder what they were talking about in shootouts with it. This is the BEST quad ever!!! I love how they say the 450s front end won't stay on the ground, I have had zero problems with that. The more you ride this thing the more you realize that this is one heck of a quad. The power is TOP NOTCH out of any other 4 wheeler out there. The yfz 450 is nice but the power isnt everywhere like on the R. It just pulls and pulls until you decide to let off. I have been riding for 16 years now and i have never been more impressed with a 4 wheeler as I am with this one. Honda definately did not drop the ball on this one, and by the way all the honda haters out there dont talk smack until you throw a leg over one of these rockets.

I think Yamaha must be a big advertiser for Dirtwheels Mag.
I also don't have a problem keeping the front down. I can easily bring it up whenever I want. It also is not tippy in the corners and it slides easily. Two things Dirtwheels said it did very poorly.
Maybe the magazines terst riders are all biased towards Yamaha.

well i think they are both able to keep the front end on the ground. but the yamaha also has the power of the 450r. i lie noth and as far as the power range goes i cant tell no difference. not wonting to start anything but that sounds something like a brand loyal perosn would say. i red anything that works and the 450r and yfz450 are both excellent quads

OMG, that is funny. It is better at reverse, no question about that, but I think that's where it ends. I was sooo close at getting a 2005 TLD Predator, but I couldn't be happier with my 450R.

ok not to start anything b/c i like the 450r the kid i ride with all the time has one in acceleration no difference we right next to eachother but top end my yfz takes his R, but i do like the comfort and how easy it is to wheelie on it, but i dont like the really long 1st gear

Dirt Wheels Sucks about the 450s... I don't even bother to read them anymore. I mean i own a YFZ 450 and i don't proclaim this is the best quad in the world, it has its problems, like every quad...450R and YFZ are fantastic quads that do different things better I don't under stand why they don't get that! Put a Modded TRX vs YFZ in the woods and the 450R is probably going to come out the top dog...I agree Yamaha supports DW to much, they need to tone them down and stop the monopoly. I have yet to see a back cover that isn't Yamaha in the past few years!!

Just because honda doesn't waste their money on advertising in dirtwheels like Yamaha does. Doesn't mean they have to down the 450r I agree with what everyone said about the r, I don't own one but I've rode one. The YFZ is just or almost the same as the R. plus the r is more reliable.
