Both of my rear hubs have a stripped wheel stud. One of them is spinning. Is there a repalcement that anyone has found like a car application or from another quad. Yhis would be my preference as my hubs are powdercoated to match my frame. I'll replace them if I have to but I thought I would seek all of your combined experience first. Don't really want to go the bolt way if that what your thinking.

Interesting that the studs are not a replaceable part. If you can get the old ones out (IE beat, drill, etc) then you might be able to put in a grade 8 metric bolt. this bolt would simply run through the old hole. Just a regular bolt. My KQ and Honda rims are both lug-centric as opposed to hub-centric so the other 3 studs will keep the wheel centered. Otherwise a new hub or try and match up an import stud at the autoparts that'll fit.

I'm not trying to start an argument here, let me get that out of the way first. In the post that was garnering so much attention about gearing. You chastized me for not completely reading a post and now you give me a reply that was exactly what I said I did not want to do.

You wont find a stud for a 400ex. Ask for a stud for a 250r and there it is. I don't get it but it works. They are the same thing.
A new stud will prolly spin, also. What i have done was pound teh stud out and Jb weld it back in. Wait a day and the re-install the wheel. good to go

No excuses, reading it again I didn't know what you meant by the bolt way so I made some assumptions...but now I see it. Sort of hard to offer help if you've covered all the bases already. And I was trying to be nice because I saw it was Jason!! But of course try what DWT said, I didn't see the stud listed separatly at Servicehonda.com.
But I'm guilty!! Pleae don't tell Kyle!!
EDIT LATER....typed this up yesterday but noticed I never hit the reply button. But I will add one excuse. Before you and I were arguing....well had a difference of opinion, here I was just offering some free advise.. my bad.
