I'm another sap sucker who went home with his tail between his legs. Just last weekend at a poker run in Pa, we got wind of a raptur who pulled into the camping field for the next day's events. With great anticipation and an attitude to boot, I joined up in the lineup at the end of a 100 yard grassy field. Say no more....ten times in a row....still start, rolling start, didn't matter what I tried... I got beat by 30 feet. Even though the pro-meg exhaust and jetting were at perfect tune, nothing was gonna catch that machine till it ran outta fuel! Hmmmmm...shudda asked him for a test ride.

I don't know about everyone else, but I ride in the woods, and I rarely see 5th gear. Who cares about drag racing. Put em in the woods and I guarantee, it's back to who's the best rider.
I've smoked Banshees and been beaten by them, but it was the rider, not the quad.
(Still laughing about wheelie post LOL)

None of you guys honestly thought a mildly modded or stock 400EX would outrun a Raptor in a straight drag did you? The 400EX - 27RWHP / Raptor - 37RWHP
Put a Raptor in some tight corners if you want to see it's weakness.... Nuff said.

What will tight corners prove Gabe? I believe in the post, trailmix said that on his limit of cornering, the Raptor continued to cut to the inside? If your talking about on an MX track, then we must face it, nobody races out there (successfully) with stock width components. To find the Raptor's weakness as you seem to want to, you're not going to do it so easily with a 400ex. Instead, it will probably take a Banshee and it will be related to tire speed with spinning in loose soil, sand, etc.. The characteristics of the high strung Banshee MAY allow it to be a better duner when modified because of the ability to get the tires into a massive spin almost instantly. Just my 2 cents.
