Default Almost bought a Brute force 750i BUT!!!!!!!!!

Well the pries and king Quad are eating me alive with speed, locker and very easy wheelies!!! So I decided to buy me a big bore. I don't like Suzuki I've had very bad luck all the bikes I've had were junk 95 and below. So I went to ride a Kawasaki Brute force 750. I hated it just riding it strait and turning around. It felt tipsy turning and it just didn't have the right feel just sitting on it in the show room It felt allot heavier than 600 pounds (same lb as my Rubicon).MAN did it have power and it sounded very good very. it would do a wheelie but I wouldn't call it effortless!!!
After all that I was still thanking about it but the dealer was so greedy he would not move one dollar on the price and was a per rick about it(the sell was going to be cash he didn't know that).

That's when I told my self time to go this is a mistake and not really what I wanted!!! If I would buy one it would be a KQ my buddy's got one and it's allot better just not the power But no Suzuki for me!!!
I decided to get a quad that was designed for speed and wheels a sport quad it well be a Honda might not be the fastest but fast enough and it will last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Almost bought a Brute force 750i BUT!!!!!!!!!

I just read a review of big bore ATV's yesterday and the results were as follows:

Coming is 1st was the Polaris Sportsman
Followed by: Suzuki King Quad
Honda Rincon
Yahama Grizzly
and in last was Kawasaki Brute Force.

There were seven people who spent a weekend riding and reviewing each ATV. They each ranked the atvs from 1-5, with one being the best. The one with the lowest score was ranked #1. The Polaris had a total of 11 points (3 #1 rankings, and 4 #2 rankings). The King Quad had a total of 12 points (4 #1 rankings, 1 #2 ranking, and 2 #3 rankings). The Brute Force had a total of 32 points (6 #5 rankings and 1 #2 ranking). I believe the Grizzly had a total of 29 points and the Rincon around 22 points.

The Polaris narrowly edged out the King Quad by just 1 point, but the King Quad retailed for $7100 and the Sportsman retailed for $8599.

During the weekend of riding, the only ATV that had any problems at all was the Brute Force. It broke a tie rod, and some else, can't remember what.

Hope this helps.

I think your complicating the process a little.

Once you have decided on how your going to use the thing, and what options or characteristics are important to you (handling, power, traction, solid axle etc etc) get what info you can from other riders, and then just go ride the few models you found best fit your needs.

When I saw your mentioning performance first thing I thought of was the prarrie since its very different than most of the others, but that could be good or bad for your real needs.

Also if you dont like a certain brand be carefull on buying one since you will only be more upset with yourself if your not happy again.

Good luck cause theres a lot of models to choose from today.....
