Default Rincon with a locker

The one thing I missed when I traded my Prairie for a 05 Rincon was the ability to lock up the front end. Not anymore. After taking out the differential and running it over to High Lifter to have them install their locker (they only charge 65.00 including the machining of the ring gear), it is a whole new machine. Steering is only a slight bit harder and hardly noticable but the pulling power certainly is noticable with all four wheels pulling. If you can afford it, do it. It is well worth it. Now with the disc brakes up front and the DGL. it really is a great machine. Too bad that I had to put out an additional 700.00 to do what Honda should have done.

so you like the disc brake kit? anything cheap about it? do they turn it into a one finger system? do they fade when muddy? are they common pads or exclusive to this application?

The kit is really great quality and shoes can be bought at a motorcycle accessory shop. I forgot what can used but it's not High Lifter exculsive. No, it isn't a one finger system but it does work well and I don't have to worry about mud getting between the drum and backing plate. Haven't noticed any fading.

The shoes you would use for the High Lifter disc brake kit are the same as you use on the Artic Cat
