Has anybody tried painting their wheels? I want to paint the wheels on my foreman black, but I'm worried about the paint flaking off. Short of sandblasting them, does anyone have any ideas?

 

I sand blasted mine and painted them silver, but after a year of snow and mud the paint flaked off. I was told that if I would have clear coated them that the paint would have stayed

 

Power coat is better because it last longer.

 

Thanks guys. I'm in the process of finding someone to powder coat them now. A few guys I work with do custom motorcycles and they also suggested powder coating would be the way to go. They also said the powder coat would handle rocks a lot better than regular paint.
