I have a Lectron carb on my 400ex, and i want to find an air filter that will fit right on the end of the carb. Right now i have the whole airbox removed, and i have the intake tube and K@N filter pretty much just hanging their. Well, i have wire holding it up, thats pretty cheesy, so i want to fix it. The carb did help performance with the airbox still on(lid removed), but i removed the whole thing, and i have to say WOW! It pulls extremely hard now with my other mods.

Is that a 36MM lectron? Well what you need to do is measure the radius of the side of the carb where the air filter goes and then go to napa and they will have one for you, or you can just bring in the carb and they will match you up with one.

LDJ, i see you have a 36mm Lectrron too. Do you still have your airbox on yours, or did you just remove the lid? Mine ran noticeably faster with the whole airbox removed. I don't think a KaN filter will work. I think it will smash up against the bottom of the seat. I might have to go with a Uni. Do you think it will have the same A/f ratio without the air tube and a smaller air filter? What other options do i have? One more question, how do you get the Lectron to idle consistant?

I just have the lid off of mine. I really haven't tried to just run the aifilter only, but I thought about it. I really don't think there is any air filter on the market that flows like a k&n. Now about my idling. I can only have it idle high or low where is cuts out if I don't give it a little gas. I called TC racing and he said if I took it apart I could fix that, but I will just let it idle a little high.

E-mail me if you have any more Question, or if you want a picture of my Quad.
