Is the Z400 the same bike as the Kawasaki KFX400?

 

Ya kawie and artic cat both "partnered up" with suzuki so they basically copied the z400. And i would probally get the z400 but if you want somthing more powerfull but with a auto clutch i'd get the kfx700 those things rip and they ride nice, and have good ground clearance for trails but weigh a little too much IMO

 

if your not racing go with the z400, its faster, better suspension, and better ride than the 400ex. my friend has the suzuki and he loves it. he even fairs pretty well with it on the mx track. and if you havent heard of it Doug Gust won the national championship on a z400

 

its just as much the rider as the bike , so you proly coulda put doug on a 400ex and he still coulda won

 

if you want a 400ex look for any 04's, last i saw there below 5K, unless you want to pay 700 for reverse and a 450r headlight system

 

As opposed to what some others have said on here the 450r is not stricktly aimed at racing and the kick start is not a problem at all. I do basically all the kinds of riding that you said you were going to do and I do it all on my 450r.
I also have the 400ex and it is a great quad too.
I just like the power of the 450r. I'm not a young kid either, I'm closer to 50 than I am to 40.
