by me in NJ most people call them quads that r decent at riding. People that don't ride or suck at riding and think they r good call them FoUr WHEElerss.

 

"wheelers" lol...i call them quads everyonce in awhile..but i usually hear everyone else call 'em wheelers

and when were gonna go fourwheelin we always say ridin'..unless were around somebody that doesnt know what were talkin bout

 

Quads, and atvs hear in eastern Pa and nobody says fourwheeling unless they are talking about jeep or 4x4 truck people that dirtbike and quad say riding

 

People who don't ride around here call them quads. Those of us that have been around since 3 wheelers call them 4 wheelers. If I take my 4wd pickup out it is called muddin', and if I take my 4 wheeler out we call that riding! Quads is a suzuki term that seems to be used by Northerner Yankees. We all know that they are wrong in most of what they call things, like calling Coca-Cola, "pop". That is another ridiculous term that I hear from Yankees. LOL. I think of it as an insult to call a Honda ATV a "quad". For Christ's sake it is not a POS Suzuki!


Being from the Southeastern coast, I like to needle my nothern Brethern, so take it all in fun! I still cannot call Coca-Cola "pop" though! If I owned a Z or King Quad I would call them quads. Seriously most people that ride with me know I distinguish my ATV's by their cc measurement, like the 450R, the 4x4, or the 250R.

 

i hate it when people call soda... "pop." that bugs the crap out of me! or when people call every soda a coke. thats just as bad.

 

North Fla calls gthem four wheelers. When we ride we call it "wheeler ridin' ". Not "quad ridin' " You might say "four wheelin' " but never would you say "quad-eelin' " [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
