2003 Honda 400 EX parking break issue

WOW! I searched for "brakes" and came up with more posts than I bargained for!
However after reading nearly 12 pages of parking brake issues and block offs...
What if I want to keep my parking brake...how do you clean it and adjust it correctly?

You can adjust it back at the caliper. Brake the nut loose on the arm and turn the bolt in till it stops then back it out a 1/2 turn. They never did work to well. I use black tape. Pull the front hand brake in not real tight and wrap a couple laps around the hand brake to the handle bar.

But seriously is it just the bolt that controls the spring lever to the left of the caliper? Just clean and tighten it?

Just unbolt the lever and the 2 bolts on the caliper that hold the parking brake cam, take the cam out of the housing and clean it and the housing then apply grease to those parts. It'll work like new again....
