When you turn the key off, and then back on , in nuetral, does the blinking stop? When does it start acting up again?
2 blinks is the ES switch system. Theres a procedure for figuring out whats wrong. For now check the fuses, and make sure the up and down switch is clean and dry.

How many times does the 4wd light blink? Turn the key off and then back on , and count the pattern. Itll either be 2,3,4,5 or 6 blinks.
Do anything lately, like crash or get stuck or swamped?

Default blinking with gear position on foreman

well today i rode all day and put 69 miles on it and we got it stuck in a deep swamp and i went through a part of a creek that was a little deep lol my front end went in and came up to the bottom of my headlamp on the top and it didnt do it 1 time.it only done it yesterday the blinking wouldnt go off after i turned it off i had to turn it off 5 times and then let it sit nd the 4wd light went off after the first time. im not sure how many times it blinks like 3 or 4 times? but if it is the switch do i need to just clean it or how hard is it to replace...?

You wont need to replace anything.... yet. Im betting that when things dry out, itll go back to working. Hondas are very good about not needed many parts, its usually dirt, mud or water that cause the problems. Check the connections, by the front differential, and maybe disconnect them, dry them out, and put dielectric grease on the pins, and put them back together.

Just flush the switches with mild soap and water, and let them dry out. Then find the wire connector from the switches, and disconnect it, clean and dry and grease it too.

If that doesnt fix things, and you keep getting the flashing gear, theres other things you can check out. Post back if it doenst fix itself.
