Am I paying to much?
My cousin is going to let me take over his payments on his 2003 400ex. He owes 4800 and its at 11% interest. My dad thinks its stupid of me to take it over. I only have like 2000 saved up. I could get a 99-2000 around here for like 2500-3000. However I dont know how hard someone has beat on it. If I get this the payment is 140 a month. However I plan on paying it off in about 6 months to a year. So basically I would be paying 5300 if I take it a year about 5000 or so if I took it 6 months with interest. Is this stupid? Should I just buy used? I plan on using it for stunting and jumping stuff. I was going to go buy a nice trailer and all if I got the 2003. Im just wondering right now if this is a bad decision. Please someone give me advice before I take delivery and payments on this thing. He hasnt put more then 16 tanks of gas through it.

I paid $5,100 for my 2003 brand new out the door. Later in 2003, my friend got his for $4,900 out the door. I think you have your answer. Call Ridersville Cycle in Berkeley Springs, WV. 304-258-2282. You can still get a 2005 400ex with no reverse. I bet they are selling them for $4,600 OTD. No tax for out of state and they have no setup charges. You could probably get them to send one right to your door still in the crate. Plus, interest rates are way down right now.

I can get you a 2003 in any color you want for $2800
The 400ex is not selling well and there is a surplus of people trading them in for 450r's
That makes the 400ex worth alot less. If it wasn't for the 450 the 400 would probably cost 3500 or so
There is a new 04 for $4200 on ebay
