Has anyone installed this? How hard was it to put on and are you satisfied with it?

Easy to install and I am very pleased with it. It will totally change the feel of the quad. The directions from Warn are very good and easy to understand. It took me about 45 min to install mine. FYI- get a buddy to help hold the front diff out of the way. It is much easier to install with an extra set of hands.

Good Luck!

What if it breaks, what happens to your front end? Do you ride mostly in 2wd and shift into 4wd just when needed?

i would mostly ride in 2x4. As for the thing breaking, it comes with a one year warranty, but there's really nothing to break as long as you dont flop it into 4x4 while you're standing still. That will probably break it.

I guess the kit is cool because you can kick the back end out around corners and it gives the quad a sportier feel.

You can only change it from 4wd to 2wd and vise versa if all four wheels are moving at the same speed or if you are stopped. The thing is so well built that if you engage it when you are supposed to, you pretty much can't break it. Like "quicksilver" said, I kept mine in 2wd most of the time b/c it steers easier and you can slide the rear end around and play alot more. It is a great product and you will love it. I have not heard of anyone breaking one. If it were to break somehow, you would just be stuck in 2wd until you replaced it.
