I have a Honda 300ex and I'm trying to put new brake pads on the rear. I can not for the life of me push the rear brake piston back into the caliper to make room for my new brake pads! Does anyone have any ideas for pushing the piston back into the caliber? Hit it with a hammer, push with a metal rod, formulate a small explosion!!! I'm going to put a little wd-40 on it to see If I can loosen it up. I'm just out of ideas.....

Your caliper could be frozen.

Did you try opening the bleeding screw to let the fluid out of the system?

I'm not a mechanic and the last time I played around with brake fluid I had to take it to the dealer because I could not get it fixed. Something as simple as my brakes you would figure I could do.... Well dam it I"m not taking back to the dealer... I'm fixing this thing no matter what.. some one suggested using a C clamp so I"m either going to fix it our break it trying...
