I just totalled my quad last week but I was wondering If I'm supposed to have a title for it of just the DNR registration. I've only had it for about 8 months, and it was fully insured. The lady at the insurance didnt know if quads had titles or not, but i'll have to send it in to the insurance if I'm supposed to have one.
My quad was a 2004 Rancher 4x4

In Indiana, anything you have a title for, you can leagally drive on the roads. (without being inspected or approved) To keep atv's and dirtbikes off the highways, they don't title them, instead they give a certifigate of orgin. That is all thats req'd. I don't know if thats how your state is, but thats how alot are.

In the state of Washington weverything is Titled. From trailers to campers, dirt bike and ATV's, cars, trucks , everything.
You need to check with your state.
If you do have ATV titles in Minnesota you would have the title if the quad was paid in full, if you had a loan on it the lender would have the title.

thanx guys. I think Minnesota uses the DNR registration for filing purposes. I dont have a title for my snowmobile either, just DNR registration. I think that's what I need. I paid for the quad in full when i bought it, and i never got a title for it so I think i'm ok
