Klotz Octane Booster KL-602
I have a situation where I ride the sport bikes in the desert mainly in the cool months, so they pretty much sit during summer. I ride the utilities in the (cool) mountains during the hot months, so they sit a lot during the winter. I primarily need a FUEL PRESERVATIVE, but this is an octane booster and it lubes the top end as well, so that's just fine with me!
In the past, I have run a mix of pump and leaded race gas.

What kind of synthetic oil are you adding? Remember that whatever you are adding is going to get burned, and that is going to severely alter its chemistry! An ester synthetic should be the best for this application.
In my truck I run ester synthetic Redline SI-1. An added benefit besides top end lube is that it keeps things nice an clean too.
Another issue for me on the bikes is that the 400EX specs 92 octane or greater. Around here 91 octane is the highest pump gas available, so I need a slight octane boost as well. Thus I pick the Klotz Octane Booster.
