The second place finisher was Wes Miller, and I noticed that he is the only rider listed for that bike. Did he ironman the race??? He has attempted it before in other races.

Also, I didn't notice anybody on the new CRF450X.

 

Hats of to the winners. It's a shame the race draws in so little atv competition anymore.

 

I grew up riding dirt bike in Baja, solo most of the time (I was young and stupid!). But, it taught me a self reliance that I wouldn't have developed any other way. That was in the very early days of the Baja races.

 

Ya that is correct. If they are going to ride in open classes in Baja it is all XR650Rs except for one factory KTM640 and one KTM525. I think Honda will help out even the privateers with the great pit support. I have seen about team Honda using CRF450Rs in some selected and probably very tight and technical desert races in the states but usually it is all XR650Rs.
