I have a 450r all stock except for a new end cap on the stock pipe and a 13 tooth front sprocket. I square up to a friend of mine (450r also) for a quick drag race (wanted to see haw much top end loss with the smaller sprocket). Turns out I smoked him of the line through all gears, I let off to wait up and got on it again and he still cant pass me. He is a little bigger than me so we switch quads. Same thing, all I could see was the back of mine. Needless to say I was suprised to see that kind of performance from $60.00 worth of upgrades.

Did you guys rev out in top gear? Probably be a different story with a longer stretch. Good investment though, The bikes come geared from the factory for a lot of top speed it seems. As long as your not smoking the tires, gearing can be an awesome upgrade. Goodjob smoking..a honda? lol.

Ya it was a pretty long stretch. Top end was almost identical.

Glad to hear but be careful more HP is addicting. That's the great thing about these 450r's, the power can be pulled out pretty inexpensive compared to other bikes.

I couldnt agree more. This thing scares the hell out of me. I upgraded from the 400ex, so I am still getting used to the power.

make sure both throttle cables are adjusted properly. one may have had too much slack in it. if this happens, the carb won't open all the way up.
