i have a 2000 rancher with super trap muffler (it sucks) and a k&n filter. need more power what can i do?

 

umm well


take off the air lid. GEt a UNI filter. Throw away the K@N. Jet the carb and throw away that muffler. Just run the straight factory header for max power. It will be loud as he77 and maybe burn you plastic though. Or just buy a new pipe. Thats about all you can do thats cheap. Buy smaller lighter tires that helps. Cut away any unnessary weight. Plastic, racks junk like that. Buy 300ex shocks I think they fit a rancher.

it runs like crap with the muffler off? did not do so well with the lid off, but never did them both at the same time???

 

find a turbo for it and some nos that should get you going. LOL!!!!!

 

Shocks will make it faster. I don't think they are lighter. you can't run with the lid off without jetting. AS for just running the header it should give you plenty of back pressure but I'm not sure. BEst to just get a good pipe or gut the stock one.

im at 5000 feet so it should be running rich. what is the stock jet size?
