Default more 250r carb problems

i got the bike started and then the carb started to leak out of the tube from the carb bowl. so i took the carb apart cleaned everything and inspected everything and everything looked good very clean and everything. i then put everything back together started it and it was fine then i took it for a short ride and the thing started leaking out of the bowl tube again. someone told me i should check the needle jet but that reallly looks in good condition so i cant figure it out please help.

Possible float stuck, improper float height or needle & seat that closes off fuel delivery that is controlled by float.

Your needle and seat could be bad and the way your float is adjusted could cause a problem.

Take the carb off the bike and remove the bowl from the bottom. Install a small hose to the fuel inlet of carb and lightly blow air through hose while moving the floats up. The air should stop when the floats are horizontal with the base of the carb, If the air keeps blowing by even with the floats all the way up or the floats are sticking then you probably have a needle & seat problem. If the air stops blowing by with the floats past horizontal then you have a float adjustment problem - just bend the metal tab that hooks to the needle & seat to proper adjustment( Have to do a search on the spec, I don't know it off the top of my head). Also check & see if there is fuel in the floats - this will also cause the needle & seat not to shut. Hope this helps.
