300ex rebuild

Default 300ex rebuild

hey guys i was wondering is it ok to bore my 300 .60 over??? and how much extra power am i lookin at if i have it .60 over and port and polish the heads

if you bore it .60 over thats not very much at all you probely wont be able to tell any difference.

yeah.60 over u wont notice much probably wont notice at all the real gains u will get would be from the porting and polishing and a high flow exhaust syatem. One other thing that will give you a good gain is a high compression pistion wiht all that u should notice decent power increase

You can always gear down, or add a larger carb or put in a high performance cam. Something really cheep and easy is an aftermarket rev box. My white brothers gave me an extra 1000 rpm I think. Maybe it was 1200. I don't remember. It was cheep and easy though. Look for those on ebay.

thanks guys . will porting and polish the heads make it run hotter?
