Yeah, the PRM that I had was the highest end that they made... It made it for almost an entire month. I WILL NEVER AGAIN buy any DG skids. That swing arm plate fell appart in less then a week. quad2xtreme Where do you get stainless? That is what I am looking for. I can't seam to find a brand that makes them out of stainless?

Yeah, I am not really having any problems with my engine or a-arm skids, just my swing arm. The stocker was removed after the first ride, DG skids were mounted on the entire machine, the swing arm skid fell appart right away. All the welds broke, the plate itself got pushed up and around the mounting points, and holes wore through very quickly. I also got bits of aluminum stuck in my chain cause it was rubbin' something feirce after a couple of rides. I herd that PRM was the best. It has made it for quite some time now, this is my second PRM. It didn't last as long as the first... I was just hoping that some one, somewhere, made something better and that a someone on this forum would be able to tell me where to go, or what to do to get something better...

Pro-Tect Fabrications
Here is the answer to your problems. When you talk to him, ask for an extra piece of stainless across the rear mounting points. He did it for free on one of mine and it made a big difference.
I've wasted so much money buying all the aluminum crap out there. If any company is reading this and thinks they make one that will last, I offer my services as a tester. I've cracked the welds and bent every aluminum one on the Raptor and the 400exs.
Good Luck. Spend the bucks ($145 for a 400ex) and get the stainless.
