Hopes for Hondas for 2006

The 05 Rubicon has every feature anyone could want in a quad! I guess you haven't looked at one close or driven one. I have a Canadian trail edition and it has more features than any other quad known to man...(except diff lock)even has GPS, disc brakes with integrated scraper system, adjustable gas shocks, more power than any other 500 I've driven, tremendous tranny, etc., etc., etc. The ride will rival any IRS machine made and the honda fit and finish is second to none. I've owned and driven many different makes and models over the years and In my mind this machine is the Mercedes Benz of 4-wheelers.

Unless they find a way to get very reliable, yet exciting power at the same time, Honda will probably always lag behind the competition a little.

Just think if the 06 Rincon has some major changes imagine what the 03's and 04's will be selling for
Maybe Just Maybe I'll sell my 02 Rubicon and get a 03 or 04 Rincon

You are right in some respects. I have not ridden on a Honda Rubicon, further I know of no one
who has one. My Honda is an older trx300, and I am sure no comparison. I have looked at the
Ruby at a dealer showroom in Lewiston, Maine, and I must say I like it alot. I am waiting for this
fall to buy, as I am in no hurry. I am a big person and most of the machines I have ridden have
been underpowered. I like the sound of this traxlox, i hope when it is in 4x4 it is better for
getting out of mud holes than the older machines. If Honda does something good with this
Rincon, I believe that is what I will buy. If not I will go with the Ruby, and I really don't think
I will be sorry.. There are a few aftermarket accessories I will need to purchase.

Oh by the way, I have seen this a couple of times, what does the Honda Rubicon
trail edition have on it that is not available here in the states. I am only a few
hours from Quebec, and might take the ride up if it were to my advantage.

up here in Canada the only differences between the regular Rub and the CTE is the GPS, Suspension, and badging. For us its only $200 more for the CTE package so it's a no-brainer. The big difference though is the ride....the shocks are completely different and exclusive to the CTE. They are adjustable and believe me, the bike rides as plush as almost any IRS machine I've seen (when shocks are set accordingly) and will out handle them since it's still a SRA. I think the handling and stability are incomparable and the engine feels very well connected to the tranny. The bike just has exceptional balance overall and I think that is what sets it apart from all of the other machines I've ridden and owned. I'm not sure if its worth it for you to make the trip to frenchland....just depends on how important the superior ride and handling are to you. You would have to test drive one to know for sure.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Honda throws a SRA in the Rincon when they make changes to it. They now see what kind of a ride they can achieve with proper shocks and a SRA. Honda is really big on the stability, handling, and low centre of gravity issues.
