I cry BS on this one. Simply because any moron in the world could ride a 3 wheeler, and the real morons in the bunch are then eliminated, using the Darwin technique. A dirt bike takes a certain amount of coordination, and common sense, to even make it past the first ten feet, so the real Darwin candidates tend to avoid dirt bikes. And if the Darwin candidates stay away, there are fewer accidents.

So are real morons smart enough to stay away from motorcycles but not necessarily 3-wheelers which accounts for more morons on 3-wheelers? So when I come up on a 3-wheeler or a motorcycle, there is a higher chance the 3-wheeler is a moron?

But then after 20 years or so, wouldn't all the morons have been done with 3-wheelers?

Remember, just because you have confirmation that a model is appearing at the show doesn't mean that it's going to production. Honda had it's first attempt of this vehicle appear at it's dealer show in New Orleans back around 1998. This was the tandem axle side x side that lots of folks have talked about over the years. I was there and saw it first hand.....it would have been a flop even by 1998 standards.
They got dealer input on it and everyone thought it would be around the corner. It never happened. I do hope that they release one in the coming year however, and that a class leading machine results from the past 7 years of R&D.

There have been more rumors this year of this machine being made production than in years past, so we will just have to see.


Regarding the 2006 TRX450R, electric start is the only big change I have heard about.

 

well the info that i got on 450r the came from a racer that has a good idea whats going on at honda.yes the e-start but i do know that honda of japan is not selling the hrc as a kit anymore.can still buy the hrc separate but not as a kit anymore. maybe thats because the 06 450r is going to have the hrc cam in from the factory.he also said there will be some frame changes on the 06.just going by what he told me that he was told by some high up people that his 05 450r will be a a disadvantage compare to the 06 450r coming out.

 

Blackbird, can you give any info on what kind of frame changes to the '06 450R? Do you mean an aluminum main frame or changes to the front geometry or swingarm/a-arms? rooster

 

i just going by what he was told and he told me that his 05 450r that he races is going to be at a disadvantage compared to the 06 450r.i heard that aluminum frame thing to don't know if its true or not.he did say they change the frame design .he said there are frame changes though .i think they might change the geometry of it because i know his frame cracked .and i think they will change the swingarm so it doesn't kick as much
