The next is width. Who in there right mind other then a MX'er would buy a quad that is 50" wide. There are 20X's as many woods riders as there is MX'ers, so why market a MX quad. It's a lot easier for a few to widen there Z450 then it would be for many to narrow it. And I don't care what anyone say's 48-50" is to wide for the woods.
well my info says price is going to be around $7500 which at that price your getting alot of quad for the price.most xc racers put a +1 a -arms then use a 4-1 offsetwheel to try keep it close to stock width.most xc racers width are racer anywhere from 46-48".think 48inches in gnnc racing is the legal woods trail width .but the ltz450r is 49inches.but i think someone will find a way to make it work anywhere.plus suz will have the z400 for woods too.they will have a bigger range of buyers by offering the z400 and the ltz450r. i bet suzuki won't have a problem saleing them

If that price is right with all that is said, then it sounds like a good price for what you got. As far as width goes, I race GNCC and 46" is what most stay at. When you go to a +1 then 4+1 rims it's more to stop bump steer, plus stay at stock width, but 46" is it. I raced a V and it was 47 and had some very hairy racing between trees. As far as having the Z-400 for the woods, well for the rec guy it's good, but they don't do well in the XC racing unless there modded big time. They just don't compete with the YFZ,450R and yes the Predator.

yes most do try to stay 46inches but some that i have seen do run 48inches width.i run a +1 arm and a +1.25 swingarm on my z and run a 4+1 front and a 4+5 offset hiper wheel and don't have a problem with bump steer on mine for xc races.most racers change shocks and a-arms so i am sure if the ltz450r is to wide for xc racing i am sure they will fix it .

how much better is fuel injection then carberation. i mean i know that its better at high altitudes, but how much more performence will it actually give you.

Very crisp throttle response and good fuel economy. Easy starting as well.

Obviously, a lot of folks are to young to remember the days when cars and trucks had carburators! If you did, you would REALLY understand the advantages of fuel injection. I will however be interested to see the long term reliability of EFI out in the harsh conditions of the trail!

dude, i totally agree with you on this ..... i think the new Z450 is going to be an awesome quad but it might be too market specific (MX). i also think the cost is relative since it prob dont need to be as modded and their are always people out there who wont mind paying the price specially if they spend just as much on their upgrades.

but damn dude ..... do you think its going to fit width wise in my tacoma ?

Seems to be the same width on all them. This quad should be no different than any other quad when it comes to loading it on your Tacoma
