We were out riding this weekend and we dragged a stock DS650 VS. a stock raptor and the ds 650 won.

Did they switch quads and try again. We did the same thing and the Raptor smoked the DS 650 every time with every rider. It was not even that close!!

 

DW even says that the Raptors win in a drag. But, 4 wheel atv tested the Raptor and Banshee and said the Banshee topped at about 70mph and the Raptor about 74-75, but now DW is saying the the Raptor tops aout at about 71mph. I have raced two differant DS anbd beat thyem both every time.

 

WHO CARES!!! Did the loser of the race stop having fun? I saw a Raptor in action today for the first time. It was very fast. Unfortunately, he got a flat tire about 5 minutes after he got there and didn't get to race anybody. He was not having any fun, but he had a fast quad.
By all accounts, the Raptor is fast. The guy was riding wheelies at will. The machine did look heavy to me though.

 

The Raptor looking heavy? The thing looks no bigger than a Blaster ( But I know it is much larger) and when riding it does not feel heavy at all like the DS.

 

The Raptor is fast. It does wheelie at will. We put my buddies on radar it ran 75 mph 3 out of 3. It handles great through the trails to. Yamaha has a great quad.

 

Why is it that my local dealership has plenty of DS650's (at least 15) but is always sold out of 400EX's? I've never seen more than three at a time!!!!

 

I know this yesterday I went to Slades in VA and there was two raptors and one DS650 the raptor consistently beat the DS in the 400ft drag. But get this guy's there was a guy from NC that had a tricked out Blaster that could beat them both and he would even let them get the holeshot!!!

 

Hahaha! NEVER mess with us north carolinians!

 

This past weekend there were drag races at the county fair grounds.(245 ft) We took my DS, My friends Raptor, and my friend's 416EX. First me and the Raptor raced and I beat him buy a quad length or two. Then the 416EX raced him and beat him buy a couple lengths. The raptor would wheele off the start so mybe that was the reason???
