I found the Beartracker much more enjoyable than the Recon, the Rancher is a much better machine that they Recon for sure.

Come ride a Beartracker with me. I'll stop and wait for you.

I ride a recon on a regular basis because like mentioned earlier it is great for the kids or wife. My 8 year old daughter is just learning to drive an ATV and the recon is perfect for her. I also like to drive the recon because of the manueverability. It is not in the same class with the Rancher or Foreman so don't even try to compare the two.

We test drove a beartracker & you can't compare it to a Recon. The Recon is by far a better quad.
Some people are so anti-Honda they will always have something negative to say about a Honda.

the recon is a great quad its not better than a rancher but you cant really compare them both they have simmalarities but are in different classes. Im getting a recon over the beartracker because i think its better and a better deal than the beartracker. even if the beartracker has disks up front the recon is lighter more horspower more torque and more speed. And i ride honda.

Well as one who owned a Recon, and reluctantly traded it in when I bought my Rancher, I'd say it is one bodacious bike.

Wish I still had mine just to go play and for my wife. But as I remember, it was rather bullet-proof. Good luck and if you need to sell your's I'll make you an offer.

I loved my Recon, it was a grat atv. I am really surprised to read about people having the front end come up on them. I never had the problem (except when I wanted to get the front end up, it always cooperated). Now I could see it if you just sat back and rode up a hill without leaning forward. Just about any small atv will come up that way. when I got my weight up toward the handlebars it NEVER came up. Now I used to have a Honda 250SX, it would come up on you no matter what you did. I became very adept at getting off!

I think you may have started a Civil war.

Don't get me wrong, I like my Recons, but someone who thinks that a 2 wheel drive Recon will outmud a 4 wheel drive Rancher is delusional and/or needs riding lessons. I am sure that there are many on this forum who would swap this guy even up.
