I was thinking the same thing about the dealer. The problem is that they are offering me one heck of a deal. Out the door pricing at $5,700. The best I've seen. There is one other dealer who is about $150 more, but they might deal with me.

Thanks everyone for the helpful information. I will go with the Honda Rubicon then. I will probably just end up dealing with the other dealer who was close. He seemed willing to deal more.

See you on the trails!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure about that price? 5700.00 out the door sounds AWFULLY cheap to me. I'm not saying this is not the deal you're getting, but we sure paid more than that for ours. Ouch.

I just purchased a rubicon two weeks ago putting
85 miles on it so far with no problems so far.
This was my first utility quad and after riding
both the rancher and the foreman 450es the rube
seemed to fit my needs.I also own a 89-250R that
also still fits my style.I am also surprised at
that price for the Rubicon.

I checked with 3 different Honda service managers around my area today, and not one of them has had any problems at all with the Rubicon. The only work they said they have done on them has been the first service. Something doesn't sound right with this story.

This "story" is way too fishy.
I would be willing to bet that
$5700.00 is under dealer cost.
Dealers here are either at list
of $6999 VERY close to it.
(And it is a Rubicon, not Rubecon)

And, no dealer name to go with the story.

OK. I am not B.S.ing anyone on this deal. The one deal is $5,700 from a Honda dealer who is a friend of a friend. He is giving me a "deal" because of this friendship. The other dealer was a chance meeting as I was passing through the area on business. He recently became a Honda dealer and wants to show that his sales on the Honda are strong. I guess if his cost is at or around that, he is willing to sell it anyway to me for that cost. I don't offer the name on the first one becasue it is a friend of a friend deal. The second shop is:

Tom's Cycle & Machine
5301 N. US 27
St. Johns, MI 48879

You want a deal? Call them and ask for Scott. Tell them Scott sent you. Tell them I was in last week and drove the Rubicon and the Sportsman 500. Just don't insinuate that I am lying to people out here on this board.

$5700 for a Rubicon, thats hard to believe. What the phone number of the guy. If he is selling for that price, that would be best I had heard off.
