Default packing exhaust

I have heard a lot of people talking about packing exhaust to quiten them and i was wondering how exactly you do that and what it doesthen i looked a little bit but it said there wuzz a lot of different materials i mean does it realy quieten the does it affect performence or what i m trying to quiten mine down i have ordered a white bros. quiet core incert and any other suggstions please post ...

im pritty sure u lose some power when pakcing em and they sell kits u can use to do it.............. u can buy the kits in rockymountainatv/mx i think

Years back we packed steel wool inside them.

you dont lose any power when re-packing. when you 1st get a muffler it comes packed, after a why'll the pacing decinergrates and blows out your exhaust why'll you are riding. over time your bike becomes louder because theirs less packing. when you re-pack you restore your muffler to how it was when you 1st got it.
