You are obviously a Rincon tranny expert. Please enlighten me on the many problems people have been having with the Rincon trans

I know a guy that works for Honda Canada,he says that the failure rate on this new transmission is 6-7%. This is a low percentage in my mind. I deal with warranty for a living and from cars to tractors that is a low failure rate. This is however in Honda's mind is unacceptable and high. The cost of the complete tranny is $1800.00 Canadian, then of course you have to get it installed or install yourself. I'm very amused on the comment about overweight top heavy units. I'm on my second atv now my first was a Polaris 400 sp and now I have stepped up to the 500 HO SP. I was a first time rider when I jumped on my sportsman and I had no problems. I did not find it top heavy or dangerous. IO guess everyone is entitled to an opion and this is mine right or wrong

Listen, I'm not about to start calling your local dealer to verify your story.
How about this. Be a man and take responsibility for your claims.
First, you personally tell me about the many Rincon tranny problems. Don't be a coward and give me your dealer's phone number. If you are such an expert on the Rincon tranny, you should have the information on the tip of your tongue.
Second. Tell me how a Rincon tranny costs $3000 to repair. You can't make such an outrageous claim and not provide any proof. I suspect your dealer is not qualified to work on something like an automotive transmission. Someone who doesn't undertand how the Rincon tranny works, or how to properly repair it will certainly have a negative opinion about it. Maybe your dealer should stick to repairing lawnmowers...

i own a 2004 honda rincon and have about 1500 miles on it and the only problem ive had with it is a loose battery cable which made the digital display flicker on and off and that took about 5 minutes to tighten the battery cable and i have never heard of any problems with the transmission that would cost $3000 to fix.
